Your program in detail
Day 1
Resort swimming pool
Transfer from Bangkok (from your hotel or the international airport), by air-conditioned vehicle (approximately 2.5 hours drive).
Arrival at the edge of the Gulf of Thailand, installation in your room.
You will stay in a 5000m² garden, comprising only 30 accommodations, with private swimming pool, in the countryside 500m from the sea and the beach, not far from a small, peaceful and not very touristy town on the east coast of the Gulf of Thailand, opposite the island of Ko Samet. The atmosphere is friendly and relaxed. The reception is French-speaking.
After relaxing in the jacuzzi (or having tried your first Thai massage, optional), you will have a first introduction to Thai cuisine in French.
On the menu:
- “Popia mou” pork spring rolls
- Chicken fried rice "Khao pat kai"
- Sautéed vegetables with shrimp “Pak pat rouam khung”
- Beef with red curry “Khaeng paneng nua”
- For dessert, seasonal tropical fruits, which you will learn to cut and present.

Day 2
At the fishing port.
You will explore the small neighboring port of Ban Phe, typically Thai.
The activity of local fishermen, crafts, a small aquarium, the market, there will be a lot to discover! For the more curious, you can even taste rare Thai specialties: a fried grasshopper or a cone of larvae...
At lunchtime, you will have lunch in a Thai restaurant by the sea, in a pleasant and friendly setting.
Seaside afternoon, to enjoy the uncrowded beaches in the surrounding area. We can lend you bikes.
At the end of the afternoon, you will explore the local market, in search of the ingredients necessary to make your dinner, a dinner of which you will be the creators.

- Spicy pork stir-fried with basil “Pat krapao mou”

Day 3
Nearby beach.
Day of seaside relaxation, to enjoy the seaside and the surrounding beaches, which are not very touristy.
You will have lunch at "Plao Sea Food", a restaurant on stilts with seafood specialties:
clams sautéed with basil, crab with yellow curry or shrimp sautéed with garlic - dishes accompanied by white rice and seasonal fruits.
During the afternoon, you will visit the Klaeng market, the largest market in the region.
Then you will have your third Thai dinner.
On the menu this evening:
- Chicken with red curry and peanuts “Khaeng massaman kai”
- Cabbages stuffed with pork and vermicelli “Dokalam yat sai wounssen”
- Calamari sautéed with garlic and pepper “Plamuk pat prik tai”
- Shrimp and vegetable fritters “Khung,pak choup peng thot”
- Caramel pineapple
Day 4
Dragon fruit
The program for this day will be varied:
You will start by strolling through the lively and typically Thai markets of Rayong, the small capital of the province.
Then you will explore Suppathra Land. These are vast orchards very pleasantly laid out for discovering Asian fruits on foot: mangosteen, durian, mangoes, etc... with of course tastings included! (the best season being from April to June).
In the afternoon, you can admire the truly artistic work of art glassmakers during a visit to a crystal factory, with its glass blowers who will model the glass in front of you.
At the end of the day, possibility of shopping at Laem Thong.
Day 5
Today, the sea is available to you!
Outing to the famous island of Koh Samet.
Day exploring its famous white sand beaches, on your own with a picnic basket and return trip by boat. We will take you and bring you back from the embarkation port at the end of the day.

Day 6
Outing to Klaeng and its region:
Discovery of the mangrove in Klaen Ban Koloi , this intermediate forest, maritime at high tide, terrestrial at low tide, an ecosystem so special for an original walk.
Stop at a temple in the forest, populated by many monkeys, always very fun to see.
On the return road, visit Klaeng to the old village and the temple.
You will have lunch again at "Plao Sea Food", this time you can taste for example fried shrimp with stewed vermicelli, fried sea bass with spicy green papaya salad, fried crabs with pepper and garlic - dishes accompanied by white rice and seasonal fruits.

Day 7
Chanthaburi Cathedral
Visit to Chantaburi.
Discovery of this small, peaceful prefecture, 1.5 hours from Ban Phe, with its famous internationally known precious stone market, but also with its temples and monuments of Chinese and Vietnamese influence (the town has an old and ancient community of Vietnamese origin) , and the largest cathedral built in the Indochinese era.
Day 8
The coast seen from the boat
Today, back to the sea side:
- Boat trip to visit the charming little island of Koh Man Nai
- Fishing from the boat
- Mask and snorkel diving, discovering the splendors hidden in these warm waters
- Picnic
- Visit to the marine turtle protection reserve park on the island of Koh Man Nai, nesting site for this endangered species. A small center describes the life cycle of these animals.
If you are new to snorkelling or fishing, your guide will be happy to introduce you.
And underwater...
Day 9
Day of visit and seaside relaxation.
You will discover the fishing village of Ban Prasae, with its temple and its shipbuilding yard, as well as the mangrove, during a walk with beautiful viewpoints. Then you will enjoy the surrounding beaches.
Lunch by the sea at Plae Sea Food.
In the afternoon, you will participate in your final Thai cooking class.
On the menu :
- Fish with celery “Pla pat kunchai”
- Fish with three flavors “Pla sam rot”
- Spicy green mango salad “Yam mamaoung”
- Seafood fried rice "Khao pat thalay"
- For dessert, seasonal tropical fruits
- A delicious seafood-oriented dinner, which you will have created yourself.
Day 10
Pattaya Temple
For this last day you will discover the city of Pattaya, one of the most famous seaside resorts in Southeast Asia. Walk in the city, the beach, the Big Buddha, viewpoint over the city.
A fan of shopping? for this last afternoon, we have not forgotten you. You could spend days in Pattaya's many huge air-conditioned shopping malls, looking for the latest releases or bargains.
You will also discover the World Gem's collection and the seaside resort also has many open-air markets, where it is good to stroll in search of the unique souvenir to take home.
Day 11
End of stay.
If you are returning on your own, free transfer to Ban Phe bus station.
Return transfer to Bangkok, optional, either to your hotel if you wish to visit the capital, or to the airport.

NB : The order of the program can be modified for better progress. Sea outings may be prevented by the weather, they will be replaced by other outings (for example outing to Laem Sing: show with dolphins and optional swimming with dolphins, village of Khlung and boat trip in the mangroves , visit to fish and oyster breeding ponds, lunch in a restaurant on stilts in the middle of the mangrove).
The course menus in this program are given as an indication, you will make 20 dishes in total depending on the seasons or arrivals, because they will be prepared from fresh products. Their order may also be different. The number of 20 dishes will be respected. Likewise, it is possible to distribute the courses in a different way (more courses with fewer dishes each time).

About Thai cooking classes
These are classes organized in the kitchens of the resort restaurant. So you don't have a cooking position for yourself like in a cooking school. They will be supervised by a Thai chef, Sopha, a professional cook who speaks a little French. She will show you how to do it, then you will practice it yourself.
You can also choose the dishes you would like to learn: here is a list of Thai dishes offered. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have other wishes.
Some courses will be preceded by a visit to the local market, rich in colors, scents and new tastes.
